About
My research project
Robust quantum control for quantum error correction of trapped-ion based processorsFault-tolerant quantum computing is a key goal of quantum technology, enabling reliable computation in the presence of errors. My PhD research focuses on developing quantum control techniques for trapped-ion quantum processors, with the aim of implementing robust and efficient operations to support low-overhead quantum error correction. By improving gate performance and mitigating the effects of noise, quantum control can help address challenges in scaling quantum processors. My research will combine theoretical modelling with experimental development in collaboration with the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC).
