University roles and responsibilities
- Project coordination and delivery: Managing day-to-day operations of research and innovation projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and funder requirements (e.g. UKRI and Innovate UK).
- Research development support: Contributing to the preparation of grant proposals, including technical and non-technical input, structuring research narratives, and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and funding calls.
- Stakeholder engagement: Acting as a liaison between academic staff, industry partners, and external collaborators to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Impact and knowledge exchange: Supporting the translation of research into real-world applications through industry engagement, dissemination activities, and contribution to policy and practice.
- Strategic contribution: Supporting the Centre’s growth by identifying collaboration opportunities, contributing to new initiatives, and strengthening links between research, innovation, and societal impact.
I am a chemical engineer with a PhD and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), with research experience at the University of Malaya, Brunel University London, and the University of Wolverhampton.
My work focuses on carbon capture, clean energy systems, and emissions control, combining experimental system development with process modelling and techno-economic evaluation.
