I would absolutely recommend a placement year to anyone. It’s a great opportunity to see what kind of work environment you like to work in, understand a specific sector or industry, and significantly improve your employment prospects.

My favourite moment at Surrey so far is meeting such amazing people who will be my life-long friends. Having people who are very like-minded and as ambitious as you are about your degree allows you to work harder and do well.

What initially attracted me to studying at Surrey, was the range of placement opportunities that were available to me during my degree. Especially as Surrey has won the National Undergraduate Employability (NUE) award for the Best University Placement Service, two years in a row.
