Undergraduate pathway programmes

If you do not meet the direct entry requirements for a course, you can apply to study an International Foundation Year programme at the University of Surrey International Study Centre. Upon successful completion, you can progress to an undergraduate degree at the University of Surrey.

To apply for one of our postgraduate courses that require a UK 2:1, you must achieve a 2:1 honours (second class, upper division) Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution.

For courses that require a UK 2:2, you must achieve a 2:2 honours (second class, lower division) Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution.

English language requirements and courses

All our students require a good standard of English language to be eligible to study with us.

We will consider the Certificate at Ordinary Level Grade 6 in place of IELTS. Please provide evidence of your Certificate at Ordinary Level grade during the application process. Some courses may require higher grades in English and/or additional subjects, so please check the requirements provided on individual course pages.

If you don’t meet our requirements, we offer intensive pre-sessional English language courses, designed to take you to the level of English ability and skill required for your studies.
