Guest rooms

The University has temporary rooms available on Stag Hill campus and Manor Park campus for students and visitors staying for short periods of time. This includes guest rooms, summer vacation rooms, graduation rooms, and exam rooms.

The University has a limited number of guest rooms on Stag Hill campus and Manor Park campus for visitors staying for short periods of time (up to 28 days). Visitors range from commuting students, guests of students to new members of staff and visiting academics.

The rooms vary in size and price but are all ‘room only’ and no meals are included. There are restaurants and shops nearby.

We are unable to accommodate any children or under-18s in our guest accommodation.

To make a booking we will need the following information:

  • Guests names
  • Guests phone number
  • Guests email
  • The dates required
  • Total number of nights in each stay
  • Room type required
  • Guests staff/student number (if applicable).

We recommend booking well in advance to avoid disappointment, we can only take bookings up to 12 weeks in advance.

How long can I stay for?

Exam rooms are available for a maximum booking of 2 weeks and are available between 9 August and 23 August to cover the late summer assessment period.

What type of rooms are available?
We offer single ensuite rooms and single standard rooms. Ensuite single rooms have a small private bathroom with a shower. Standard single rooms have shared bathroom facilities. Beds will be made up with bed linen, and you will be provided with a towel, but no toiletries or refreshments are provided. 

All rooms are in flats with a communal kitchen. The kitchen may be used if you bring your own crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Hot food is also available to purchase on campus from the Sir Ronald Wates Wetherspoons.

When will I get confirmation of my booking?
We will process applications as soon as possible and send initial room offers by 1 August 2026. After this date we will aim to respond within three working days of submitting this form.

Can I cancel my exam room?
If you need to cancel or amend your booking please contact us no later than 3 days before your booking commences.

How do I pay for my room? 
No payment is required upon applying. Once you receive a room offer email you have 3 days to accept or reject the offer. Should you wish to accept the offer, you will be required to pay in full for your room. 

The room offer email will contain details of the total amount payable, plus a link to the on-line shop for you to make your payment and to accept the room offer. 


If we do not receive a response to the room offer email (such as a rejection or acceptance including payment) within seven days of Accommodation sending the room offer email, then the offer may be withdrawn. 

If an offer is made less than 3 days before arrival, payment must be made one working day before arrival.
