The University has a temporary rooms available on Stag Hill campus and Manor Park campus for students and visitors staying for short periods of time. This includes guest rooms, summer vacation rooms, graduation rooms, and exam rooms.

The University has a limited number of rooms on Stag Hill campus and Manor Park campus for visitors staying for short periods of time (up to 28 days). Visitors range from commuting students, guests of students to new members of staff and visiting academics.
The rooms vary in size and price but are all ‘room only’ and no meals are included. There are restaurants and shops nearby.

The rooms are in high demand and we would recommend booking well in advance to avoid disappointment.
Standard single guest rooms
These rooms have a washbasin in the room and use of shared shower rooms. They are located in Blackwater House (Surrey Court) on Stag Hill campus.
Single en-suite guest rooms
These rooms have an en-suite shower room with toilet and washbasin. They are located in Millennium House on Stag Hill campus and at Manor Park.
Double en-suite guest rooms
These rooms have an en-suite shower room with toilet and washbasin. They are located in Millennium House and Blackwater House on Stag Hill campus and at Manor Park.
Prices per night are shown below, including VAT. Full payment is required at the time of booking. Prices are subject to change annually in September.

Bedding and towels are provided in your guest room. Rooms are serviced and beds made daily Monday to Friday but not on Saturdays, Sundays, or public and University holidays.
On Stag Hill campus, visitors may park in the pay-and-display car park which is signposted from the main entrance to the University. Please see the how to get here information for details of charges. There is no parking at Manor Park.
The flat has a kitchen that is equipped for full self-catering with a kettle, toaster, electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board.
We have provided a small supply of crockery and cutlery for you to use. If you use these items please wash them up and leave in the dish drainer.
If you have takeaway food please put the wrappers in the kitchen waste bin, not in your room.
Receptions will be closed on bank holidays and are subject to change during vacation and University closure times.
- Stag Hill Reception, serving Millennium House and Surrey Court, is open 8:00am - 8:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am - 5:00pm on Saturday.
- Manor Park Reception is open 8:00am - 8:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am - 5:00pm on Saturday.
- In case of an emergency please contact Security.
The Reception team will assist with information and maintenance requests.
Meals are not included in your stay, however, there are several restaurants, cafes and a convenience store at the University.
Please note that times may change during public holidays, University vacations and University closure periods.
Once a booking has been confirmed, if you subsequently wish to cancel any part of your stay we will require at least three working days' notice; if this notice is not given then no refund will be given.
Summer vacation rooms
We have campus accommodation available during the summer for students, (staff and external visitors TBC). There are a range of room bands available for students across our three campuses.
Applications for summer vacation rooms will open on 5 May 2021, and can be made via the online store under Accommodation Services.

Staff and visitors
Accommodation is available from 14 June 2021 for students currently living in accommodation. If you live off campus the earliest move in date will be 19 June 2021 and the latest arrival date will be 14 August 2021.
The latest departure date available is 12 noon on 28 August 2021 (unless you have a room allocation for 2021/22).
Length of stay
If you are currently living in accommodation you may apply to stay from as little as 1 day up to 28 August 2021.
If you are not currently living in University accommodation, rooms are bookable for a minimum of two weeks.
Room types and location
There are a range of room bands (A-E) available over the summer at Stag Hill, Manor Park and Hazel Farm. When making an application you are required to enter your top three band preferences.
If you are currently living in university accommodation we will keep you in your current room where possible. However in many cases students will have to move to blocks that are staying open for the summer.
Please note, due to limited availability we are not able to guarantee accommodation over the summer.
Summer vacation rooms are charged at the standard 'Single Bedroom - Students Only' prices. Please see the 2020/21 price list.
There is a kitchen on each floor which may be used if you bring your own crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. It is equipped with a kettle, toaster, electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board.
Bedding is not provided and you will therefore need to bring your own or purchase a bedding pack from the Online Store.
Please order the bedding pack at least 2 working days before you are due to arrive in order for the pack to be placed in your room for your arrival.
There is no parking on Stag Hill or Manor Park. Students staying at Hazel Farm may park free of charge in designated spaces at Hazel Farm with a valid permit. Please contact the Accommodation Office to apply for a permit.
Cancellations and refunds
You may amend or cancel your vacation booking up to 5 working days before your booking starts. Once you are within 5 working days of the first day of your summer vacation booking you must give a minimum of two weeks’ notice if you wish to leave before the end of your booked period.
