How your company can help

There are many ways your company can support the University and also many ways businesses can benefit from working with our academics, students and graduates. You will find a range of current initiatives below, however if you have innovative ideas for working together we are very happy to try new things!

Recruit a Surrey Graduate

The University of Surrey Careers Service is here to work with you to explore your businesses’ recruitment needs. We offer an online jobs board and are happy to advertise vacancies free of charge to Surrey students and graduates.

To advertise positions within your company please read our Vacancy Advertising Policy and get in touch with our team.

Employ a Placement Student

Surrey's pioneering Professional Training year placement programme has over 2,300 partner organisations in the UK and overseas. These organisations provide opportunities for students to put their skills into practice and to experience a real professional environment.

Professional Training placements are a year-long period of paid or unpaid employment which usually take place in the third year of undergraduate study. To discuss offering a Professional Training year position within your company or to advertise your placement please see our Professional Training site.

Attend a Careers Fair

The Employability and Careers service hosts regular Careers & Placement Fairs throughout the academic year. These offer an excellent opportunity for organisations to recruit Surrey students, and for our students to get to know more about your company and ask questions.

Attend a fair and secure your exhibition stand.

Support our Careers and Employability Programme

Corporate guests frequently visit the University to support our Careers and Employability.  Whether it be through hosting a networking session, skills workshop, CV or practice interview session, or a business simulation, there are a multitude of opportunities to engage with current students and raise your company's profile within the University.
