Learn more about how we work with the community in the Department of Physics.

In the Department, we host events and workshops for schools and colleges and the public on a regular basis. We also offer work experience opportunities.

Our next public talk in this series is on Sci-fy, is it science fiction or science fact? on the 4 October 2017 visit the events page for more info.

Institute of Physics lectures

We host a number of talks organised by the Institute of Physics' south-east branch. All events are free and open to the general public. A calendar of talks can be found on the IOP's website.

Astro Evenings

We run Astro Evenings at our telescope dome on campus. These events involve lectures from our researchers and, if the weather is good, a chance to view the night sky.

The next event will be a special event for International Dark Matter day on the 31 October 2017, visit the event's page for more information.
