Abstract
Martin Wiles, the Head of Sustainability, will provide an overview of the approach being taken to embedding sustainability across the University. This will give a focus to operations including our carbon reduction plans, from solar, hydrogen and geothermal, to demand management and behaviour change. Other operational activity will focus on biodiversity, procurement, and catering. Outside of operations Martin will discuss how sustainability is integrated into wider university activity from governance and strategy, to curriculum and community engagement.

Biography
Martin leads the development and delivery of the University’s energy and sustainability strategy.
He manages projects, activities and events to improve the University’s environmental sustainability and works with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of the broad sustainability strategic objectives, delivering cultural change across the University.
