This special performance marks the official launch of the duo’s new double-duo album, From Honey to Ashes, featuring the chamber works of Welsh composer Stephen Goss. Goss’s music draws on a wide range of influences, blending classical traditions with jazz, folk and global musical languages to create a distinctive and contemporary voice.
Alongside selections from the album, the programme explores South American repertoire for guitar, flute and voice, including heartfelt songs and virtuosic dances from Colombia, Brazil and Venezuela. Together, these works highlight the guitar’s role as a meeting point of cultures, styles and artistic traditions.
Combining expressive lyricism with rhythmic vitality, the programme reflects the conference’s spirit of artistic exchange and research-led performance.
Expect an evening of vivid musical colour, lyrical depth and the distinctive artistic chemistry that defines this acclaimed duo.
