The Advancement team at the University of Surrey, together with Guildford-based solicitors Stevens & Bolton, present this free online lunchtime event for alumni and supporters, offering practical guidance on will writing and estate planning.
Whether you’re considering writing your first will, or wondering whether an existing will still reflects your wishes and circumstances, this free webinar offers an opportunity to hear practical guidance from UK legal experts and ask questions.
This practical session will cover topics including:
When and why a will should be written or updated
Choosing an executor
How to identify the type of will you need
How property ownership affects estate planning
The role of trusts
UK tax matters including any changes brought about by the Autumn Statement and gifts to charity
There will also be a live Q&A with the solicitors.
Note: the presentation is for information purposes only and should not be interpreted as personal recommendations or legal advice.
