Houston reunion to become annual event

Surrey alumni in Texas recently met up for a reunion at the Houston home of graduates Neil and Elizabeth Chapman.

The event was attended by alumni from a range of subjects, graduating between1978 and 2014, and included two couples who had met at Surrey and subsequently married. Also in attendance was Professor Jonathan Seville, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences and a Surrey alumnus, and Chris Gethin, Director of Development and Alumni Relations.

“I’d like to thank Neil and Elizabeth for hosting such a wonderful reception,” said Chris. “It was a real pleasure to meet our alumni who would like to make this an annual event. It would be great to see if we can increase the numbers for 2017 – we know there are over 150 Texas-based alumni so spread the word!”

The Houston reception is part of an ongoing programme of events in the US. We’re planning our third in San Francisco later this year and hope to hold similar reunions in New York and Chicago as we develop activities for our 50th celebratory year.
