Industry support for Masters programme
The world’s largest independent ground engineering contractor has sponsored a prize for students on our MSc in Advanced Geotechnical Engineering.
Keller Group plc, which has 10,000 staff worldwide, will award £500 to the best MSc dissertation for the next five years.
Programme leader Professor Subhamoy Bhattacharya said: “We’d like to thank Keller for sponsoring the prize and supporting our students in this way. Our close partnerships with industry ensure we address real-world ground engineering issues and the technological challenges faced by the geotechnical engineering profession.”
The University re-launched its successful MSc in Advanced Geotechnical Engineering in 2015 to address a key skills shortage in the industry in the UK. Taught in collaboration with practising specialists and industry experts, the course aims to enhance students’ analytical and practical engineering techniques and provide them with excellent employment prospects in the construction, energy and process engineering sectors amongst many others.
