Emily presented an Invited Keynote address at the Neurodevelopmental Annual Seminar 2026 (NDAS 2026)
Emily presented a keynote speech at the Neurodevelopmental Annual Seminar 2026 (NDAS 2026), held in Durham in June 2026. The conference brought together researchers to share findings and perspectives across neurodevelopment and neurodiversity.
Emily presented findings from the ‘Shape Research, Change Lives’ project, highlighting gaps in research for people with genetic syndromes and their communities, including Down Syndrome, Fragile X syndrome and Williams syndrome. Her talk emphasised the importance of research that is not only accessible, but also relevant and useful to people’s everyday lives and experiences.
Together, the discussions highlighted the importance of ensuring that neurodevelopmental research responds to the experiences and priorities of the people and communities it seeks to support.
