In July, Professor Farran featured as the Global Science of Learning and Education Network Scientist of the month

Professor Farran was spotlighted as the Scientist of the Month by the Global Science of Learning and Education Network, in recognition of her exceptional achievements and dedication to advancing inclusive research and education.

She directs the Cognition, Genes & Developmental Variability Lab at the University of Surrey, where her work includes developing classroom-based spatial training programs, such as Lego activities, which have been shown to improve children’s math performance.

Prof. Farran is also a strong advocate for Open Science and research transparency, leading initiatives to make research more accessible. Her commitment to translating research into practical tools and involving communities in setting research priorities has earned her recognition for impact and engagement.
