Green Impact re-launches at Surrey
Sustainable Surrey has re-launched Green Impact, in partnership with student charity SOS-UK.
Green Impact is an internationally recognised sustainable accreditation scheme, supporting sustainable change across organisations. Staff from all departments across the University are now invited to form Green Impact teams to work through positive, sustainable actions. By completing set actions, teams will not only be awarded bronze, silver, gold or platinum in recognition of their efforts, but will also make tangible improvements to sustainability at the University.
This programme runs annually from May to February, with an awards ceremony hosted by the Vice-Chancellor in March to celebrate all teams' sustainable achievements.
This is the third year the scheme has run at the University. The last two years have seen over 20 departments take part, with a total of 785 sustainable actions implemented.

Green Impact is a part of the University's ambition to embed the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into everything we do. Actions within this programme cover all 17 of the SDGs - particularly 'Climate Action' (SDG13).
