The Macroeconomics Network in the Southwest Workshop is a leading academic workshop in macroeconomics for the Universities of the Southwest (Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey). Its purpose is to create research ties, foster research collaborations and exchange feedback on cutting-edge macroeconomic research.
The workshop will take place on 7 November at the University of Bath. This year the network will also feature a PhD workshop on 6 November, with presentations from PhD candidates from the participating institutions.
The workshop will focus on a variety of topics, such as portfolio choice, household borrowing, inflation, entrepreneurship, the supply of safe assets, and the valuation of the US corporate sector.
The keynote speaker is Jonathan Heathcote from the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
