Student wins University Professional Training Student of the Year award 2017
Mechanical Engineering Student, Ben Karkera, has won the University Professional Training Student of the Year Award 2017.
We are very pleased to announce that MES student, Ben Karkera, has won the University Professional Training Student of the Year award 2017. Ben (Mechanical Engineering, MEng) was based at BAE Systems in Cumbria working on nuclear submarines. There was tough competition from the top students across the 20 Departments in the university.
It is the 2nd time that an MES student has won this award in the last 5 years, as Cristina de Mel (Medical Engineering) also won this back in 2014. This is a testament to the quality of our students and the work put in by all involved in the MES PT team effort in the Department.
