Surrey Celebrates Partnership with Dongbei University of Finance and Economics

The University of Surrey is delighted to announce the signing of a renewed Memorandum of Understanding with its long-standing and strategic partner, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE).

The documents were signed simultaneously by Professor Max Lu, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Surrey, and the new President of DUFE, Professor Hongxing Fang, during a virtual signing ceremony.

Prof. Amelia Hadfield, Dean International at the University of Surrey, commented:

“The signing of this MoU signals a shared commitment to this ongoing and fruitful partnership, as well as a shared desire to broaden and deepen our portfolio of collaborative activities.”

“During the Covid-19-induced challenges of the past two years, colleagues from Surrey and DUFE have maintained close ties to ensure that impacts are kept to minimal.”

The bilateral relationship between Surrey and DUFE goes back over twenty years, with our successful joint institute, Surrey International Institute, based at DUFE’s Dalian campus, celebrating its fifteenth anniversary year.
