About
My research project
How Cancer Survivors Cope with the Fear of Cancer RecurrenceMy thesis explores how cancer survivors cope with the fear of cancer recurrence (FCR). Advancements in treatment and early screening programmes have led to an increase in survival rates and a better prognosis for cancer patients. Yet, post-treatment, FCR affects a considerable number of cancer survivors. In Asian countries like Singapore, little is known about how cancer survivors cope with this fear. Hence, my thesis aims to explore their coping strategies and potentially develop a support programme for cancer survivors to cope with FCR.
