Robbie Cairns

Robbie joined the Surrey Business School in January 2023. In addition to his role at the University Robbie is the founder of a small boutique consultancy, Phenomenal Development, focusing on corporate strategy, leadership, executive coaching and psychometric tools. Through his business Robbie has worked with entrepreneurs, managers, and business leaders across Europe, North America, LATAM, Asia and the Middle East to help them develop and enhance their strategic thinking and leadership practices. Robbie is also an Affiliate Executive Coach at IMD Business School where he works on programs related to Leadership, Sustainability, Innovation, Change and Crisis Management.

Prior to establishing his own business in 2019 Robbie has over 25 years of international business experience, serving as a Chief Operations Officer in a start-up company in the UK. Robbie has held other corporate roles including being part of the Senior Leadership Team for the world's leading independent Economics & Transport Consultancy. 

Robbie is certified in a number of market leading psychometric tools and he is interested in, and works on, issues related to  corporate strategy, organizational culture and leadership, organizational change, sustainability digital innovation and entrepreneurship.
