My research project
Developing an AI-based Interviewing Agent to Improve Survey Accessibility for Blind and Visually Impaired UsersSabia holds an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Brunel University London and has worked across both the public and private sectors as a Psychometrician, specializing in assessment development. With extensive experience in measurement design and evaluation, Sabia is now pursuing research at the University of Surrey, focusing on the development of an AI-based interviewing agent to enhance survey accessibility for blind and visually impaired (BVI) users. This research integrates methods from natural language processing and human-computer interaction to design adaptive, conversational survey tools that support multimodal interaction and reduce cognitive and navigational barriers. The work contributes to advancing inclusive survey methodologies, accessible technologies, and AI-driven user interfaces.
