2014Sophia Field is a Senior Insight Director at PHD Media UK, where she helps some of the world's most recognised brands, including Sainsbury's, CHANEL, VW Group and Uber, make smarter decisions through insight-driven strategy. Specialising in media effectiveness, consumer behaviour and thought leadership, she is passionate about transforming complex data into compelling stories that drive commercial growth and organisational change.
Sophia began her career at NBCUniversal before spending more than a decade at Channel 4, where she progressed through five promotions to become Customer Insight Lead. There, she led a high-performing team supporting Channel 4's commercial business and spearheaded a number of industry-renowned research initiatives. Her work on Black-Owned Business: The UK's Untapped Business Potential helped inform Channel 4's Black in Business programme and won both the MRS Social Impact Award and the prestigious Grand Prix. She also helped deliver influential projects exploring media effectiveness, sponsorship and representation, including Sponsorship Rocks and Mirror on the Industry during her time at Channel 4, and now works on PHD's flagship cultural thought leadership programme, Culture Currents.
Alongside her client work, Sophia is a passionate advocate for leadership, coaching and talent development. She holds a Level 5 Professional Coaching qualification, is EMCC-accredited and has delivered more than 100 hours of coaching to professionals across a range of industries.
In 2026, Sophia was named one of Management Today's 35 Under 35, recognising her commercial impact, leadership credentials and contribution to the wider media and insight industry.
