Unified Education Certificate (UEC) Excellence Award (Malaysia) 2023 entry

This prestigious award recognises academic excellence and will be awarded to three selected UEC students starting an undergraduate degree at the University of Surrey in September 2023. The award is in the form of a £7,000 tuition fee discount.

About

The scholarship is awarded as a £7,000 fee waiver in the first year of studies. It is open to self-funded international fee-paying students from Malaysia who have taken the Unified Education Certificate (UEC). The scheme is application based and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel.

Eligibility criteria

Open to self-funded international fee-paying students from Malaysia who have taken the Unified Education Certificate (UEC). Applicable to all full-time undergraduate programmes.

In order to be eligible applicants must:

  • Have studied the UEC curriculum in Malaysia and have achieved a maximum of 12 points in the UEC (UEC points system: A1 = 1 point, A2 = 2 points, B3 = 3 points, etc.)
  • Be self-funded (you must be paying for your studies independently rather than being sponsored or in receipt of another scholarship)
  • Not be a student from Surrey International Study Centre (SISC).

Applicants in receipt of the Unified Education Certificate (UEC) Excellence Award (Malaysia) scholarship will not be eligible for any other Surrey scholarship.

How to apply

The scholarship is application based. Surrey applicants with a UEC qualification should apply via the application form.

Applications without a valid student ID/UCAS ID will not be assessed.
