Module 3 - From goals to results: building your sustainability strategy roadmap
Module aim
This module equips SMEs with practical tools to integrate sustainability into their core business strategy. Learn how to transition from high-level sustainability aspirations to a clear, actionable roadmap for assessment, strategic growth, and positive impact.
Module content
Part one: Developing and implementing the strategy roadmap
- Developing an actionable roadmap and structuring the chosen strategy into phased, time-bound initiatives with clear ownership.
- Integrating into operations: strategies for embedding sustainability practices into daily business processes, procurement, and product design.
Part two: Measurement, reporting and continuous improvement
- Selecting key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and communicating results effectively to stakeholders.
- Establishing review cycles and feedback loops to adapt the strategy based on performance and evolving market expectations.
Learning outcomes
Participants will walk away with a Sustainability Strategy Roadmap that details their prioritized sustainability issues, sets 3-5 measurable strategic goals and related KPI, outlines the immediate actions to integrate into operations, and establishes reporting and review cycles.

- One hour online ‘accountability and implementation’ follow-up session, 30 days after the module.
