Surrey's Covid-19 research
When news of Covid-19 first broke in December 2019, little was known about the virus that would go on to take hundreds of thousands of lives worldwide and leave the global economy on the brink of a recession. But our Surrey research community immediately began working on multiple contributions to understanding, tackling and mitigating the impact of this new threat.
Our teams have already contributed much to understand the virus and its long-term impact on our physical and mental wellbeing. Six months on, the world understands more and is better placed to tackle the ongoing virus threat and begin the global process of recovery.
With over 100 research projects currently underway at the university, we will proudly continue to support the fight against this deadly virus and its many consequences.
