ResearchResearch interests
My primary line of research encompasses adolescent social development, peer relations and bullying. In particular, I am interested in identity-based bullying with a focus on the individual (e.g., moral emotions) and contextual variables (e.g., school climate) that sustain bullying and passive bystander behaviour. I am also interested in adolescents’ online experiences and the impact of social media usage on young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
My other line of research focuses on workplace bullying, with a focus on employee silence and emotional labour among employees who endure and witness bullying at work.
