Dr Louise Hogh

Biography
Dr Louise Hogh is a Consultant Physician in General and Geriatric Medicine with over 19 years’ experience at Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust. Appointed in 2006 following specialist training in the Southwest Thames region, she has developed broad clinical expertise spanning acute general medicine, frailty same day emergency care, inpatient and outpatient geriatrics, community interface services, and virtual ward models of care. She works within multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, person-centred care for older adults with complex needs.
Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Hogh has held several senior leadership roles, including Chief of Medicine for Unplanned Care (2018–2024), Clinical Director for Elderly Care (2013–2018), and Specialist Lead for Inpatient Medicine (2011–2013). She has led governance and workforce strategy across multiple specialties, expanded geriatric services, strengthened cross-system collaboration, and played a key role in service delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic and periods of resident doctor industrial action.
Dr Hogh has extensive experience in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. She previously served as Undergraduate Sub-Dean and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George’s, University of London, where she led the redesign of the geriatric medicine curriculum for penultimate-year medical students. She continues to supervise foundation doctors and specialty trainees, serves as an ARCP assessor, and was an Advanced Life Support instructor for over a decade.
Her academic interests include curriculum innovation, clinical leadership, quality improvement, and patient safety. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and holds a masters degree in Strategic Clinical Leadership (Merit).
