Joshua completed his MBA in 2021 and is now an Innovation Consultant at Accenture, marking an interesting transition from the creative industries into consultancy.

"In this role I support organisations in identifying new growth opportunities and in solving complex business challenges through a combination of strategic thinking, creativity and emerging technologies. As such, I contribute to end-to-end innovation projects from research and problem definition through to concept development and implementation. I also conduct analysis of market trends and customer needs to help inform the development of practical, forward-looking solutions. My role also involves facilitation of workshops, developing strategic recommendations, and supporting the embedding of innovation capabilities within client organisations with a focus on areas such as digital transformation, AI and sustainability

My MBA story...

My MBA marked a pivotal shift from a creative career in acting and entrepreneurship into innovation and strategy consulting. I entered the programme with a strong creative background - having originally trained as an actor I then set up and ran businesses in the world of the arts - but I wanted to build the business knowledge and strategic thinking needed to work in a more commercial environment. 

Through focused career support, a hands-on consultancy project with a global entertainment company, and a wide range of modules covering areas such as AI, innovation, and sustainability, the MBA gave me the tools to make that transition. 

Just as importantly, it helped me see my unconventional background as an asset rather than a barrier. This journey ultimately led to me securing a role in Accenture Strategy & Innovation."
