GSA has Book Of Mormon covered

Record-breaking West End musical features three graduates from the Guildford School of Acting, part of the University of Surrey.

Three graduates from the Guildford School of Acting are helping sell-out musical The Book Of Mormon to smash West End box-office records.

Haydn Oakley, Mark Anderson and Sharon Wattis are all cast members in the London version of a show that proved a runaway success during its original run on Broadway, winning nine Tony Awards and a Grammy.

Michael Moor, Head of Musical Theatre at Guildford School of Acting (GSA), commented: "We are very proud to see our alumni playing their part in such a high-profile success. It's a testimony to their talent, hard work and the quality of musical-theatre training here at the University of Surrey, of which GSA is a part."

With GSA graduates to be found working on stage musicals running throughout the West End, the theatregoing public are well served by cast and crew who trained in musical theatre and production skills at the School.

Haydn, Mark and Sharon are following in the footsteps of famous GSA alumni such as Brenda Blethyn, Bill Nighy and Tom Chambers, as well as the hundreds of working actors, performers and production staff who honed their trade on GSA undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in acting, singing, dance, production skills and directing.
