Head of Veterinary Education receives prestigious fellowship award

Professor Gail Anderson, Head of Veterinary Education & Veterinary Clinical Sciences has been awarded the status of ‘Principal Fellow’ of the Higher Education Academy.

Designed around the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF), the Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy provides a means to identify, develop and reward teaching and learning support roles within the Higher Education sector. Fellowships are awarded depending on level of knowledge and experience, with Principal Fellowships being awarded to staff who have delivered considerable effective and sustained impact and influence at a strategic level in their field of teaching and learning.

Professor Anderson joins more than sixty thousand higher education learning and teaching professionals who are now Fellows of the Higher Education Academy, 2,500 of which are Senior and Principal Fellows, she is one of a very small number of veterinary professionals to have been awarded Principal Fellow status and the University congratulates her upon her achievement.
