Surrey’s SETsquared named best university business incubator in the world

SETsquared, the enterprise partnership between the universities of Surrey, Bath, Bristol, Exeter and Southampton has been ranked the top university business incubator in the world by UBI Global.

Surrey Incubation has been a member of the SETsquared partnership since its inception in 2002.  

The partnership specialises in growing high-tech start-ups through its incubation programme and other business acceleration services. Over the last 13 years, it has helped over 1,000 hi-tech start-ups to develop and raise more than £1 billion of investment, as well as contributing over £3.8 billion in GVA (Gross Value Added) to the UK economy.

The centre also provides mentoring and access to investors, corporate innovators and a wide range of industry experts through its network and training programmes.

The UBI Index is the first global index to benchmark the performance and best practice of university business incubators. Last month it ranked SETsquared best university business incubator in Europe.
