A four‑stage professional development module which combines strategic career planning, leadership coaching, soft‑skills training and practical tools for navigating senior‑level opportunities. You’ll leave the programme with a clear, actionable roadmap aligned to career aspirations. 

You’ll receive personalised one‑to‑one support from an experienced international headhunting specialist, helping you position yourself for global roles, industry transitions and leadership pathways. 

Your Integrative Applied Project (IAP) lets you apply your learning to a real business challenge through one of three pathways: 

• Business Plan: a great option for those who have their own business or wish to start one. Develop a practical and feasible business plan with the aim to create real value through a clear, actionable and well-tested blueprint for success. 
• Consultancy Project: work on a live business challenge faced by an organisation in the corporate, public or third sector. Develop solutions that create tangible value for the organisation through the impact of your work. 
• Management Research Project: Explore a wider practical or theoretical issue within a specific industry – investigate a research problem using theoretical frameworks and concepts, contributing insights that can benefit both industry and the wider research community. 

Past partners include organisations in AI, health tech, digital services and advanced engineering including Cognite Neurotechnology, Cosimmetry, MyDocSafe, GOOD FERMENTATION, and Satraka Ltd.

You’ll learn from award-winning academics and network with senior leaders through guest lectures, business events, live consultancy projects and our Executive‑in‑Residence network. Recent speakers at the Business School include:

Trips and Surrey’s Global Impact Residency are successful opportunities for our students to apply what they learn to a practical setting. For example, a recent student visit to Silent Pool distillers to strategise for an international expansion with India as a target market, and a one-week international immersion project and residency at Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA).
