Professor Patricia Pulham elected Fellow of the English Association
Congratulations to Patricia Pulham, Professor of Victorian Literature, Head of the School of Arts, Humanities and Creative Industries, and President of the British Association for Victorian Studies (BAVS), who has been nominated as a Fellow of the English Association (EA). She is already a member of the prestigious Academia Europaea.

The English Association (EA) honours those who have made a distinguished contribution to the discipline of English literature, language, and creative writing. EA’s Fellows represent excellence in the teaching and learning of English and Professor Pulham’s nomination cited her "distinguished publication record and her exceptional record of leadership both within her institution and in the wider sector, most prominently in the field of Victorian studies".
New Fellows are nominated by existing Fellows and by members of the EA’s board and sub-committees. EA Fellows include writers, academics, educators, librarians, journalists, publishers, and editors.
Professor Annika Bautz, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean, Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences, says: “I am delighted to see Patricia’s dedication to and passion for Victorian studies be recognised in such an auspicious way. Patricia inspires and challenges the wider public, our students, and our colleagues. This is a richly deserved award”.
Professor Pulham commented: “I am thrilled to have received this award and to be part of a wonderful association that encourages collaboration across the education sectors”.
