My research project
Business model innovation of Multinationals in AfricaBusiness Model Innovation (BMI) refers to a company's pursuit of new business logic and new techniques for creating and capturing value for stakeholders, as well as new ways to earn profits and develop value propositions for consumers, partners, and suppliers. Due to consumer, contextual and institutional variance, emerging economies often have divergent business models from developed economies. As a result, MNEs entering Africa have become more innovative with their existing business models. The goal of my research is to discover how variables such as informal institutions impact on the BMI of multinationals when entering Africa, particularly, countries with complex institutional environments like Nigeria.
