Dani is Director of Campaigns & Communities at Surfers Against Sewage. Having spent over 15 years working on environmental issues, Dani has a background in environmental psychology which she combines with experience of campaigning on nature and climate issues, and a passion for building the power of people and communities to advocate for the causes they care about. She previously worked at WWF and Waterwise where she built a unique mix of experience across a wide breadth of areas, including campaigns, communications, policy and programme delivery.

Recent high profile work includes the Surfers Against Sewage UK general election campaign involving a nationwide tour in the 'Voters Against Floaters' campaign tour bus, delivering hustings on beaches and riverbanks throughout the UK. Thousands of 'Vote for the Ocean' posters were displayed proudly, and supporters equipped to ask the right questions when candidates knocked their doors. All underpinned by a manifesto laying out clear asks developed in coalition with water user groups, community campaigners, eNGOs and the WI. This multi pronged approach successfully put ending sewage pollution into the manifestos of the main parties, and resulted in early legislation from the new government as well as a once in a generation review of the water sector that has the potential to deliver transformational reform.
