The Entrepreneurship pathway is also great to support you in starting your own business and in final year, I am currently planning my business idea in a module called Applied Business Project which I would highly recommend, as a way to get professional feedback around your idea.
Entry year
2023What do you like about your course and why?
I like how customisable my course is. From second year you get to choose modules in line with your career interests. Additionally, I have had many great lecturers, whose knowledge and insights I have learnt a lot from. What do you enjoy most about Surrey?
I enjoy the atmosphere, people are friendly and there are many international students which brings a diverse mindset and experience to university. The Surrey Sports Park offers amazing sports facilities and has been such a fun place to train, try out new sports and make friends. There is also a wide range of clubs and societies to be a part of, truly something for everyone.
What do you want to do when you graduate?
I would like to find a graduate job in finance or consulting (either in the UK or abroad) to gain some experience for a few years before starting my own business in the wellness industry!
Your advice to new students
Think about whether you really want to be an entrepreneur and start your own business, if so, then this is 100% the course for you. Otherwise you can choose Business Management, without a specific pathway, and always swap over later on to get access to the entrepreneurship specific modules in second and final year.
