I chose the MSc Sustainable Energy course at the University of Surrey because it truly matches my passion for building a cleaner and smarter energy future. What I liked most is that the course focuses not only on technical learning but also on how we can apply it to real-life sustainability challenges. The industrial placement year is a great chance to gain practical experience and understand how the energy industry works in the real world.

What are the best things about Surrey and your course?
The best thing about the University of Surrey is how it makes learning practical and connected to real life. My MSc Sustainable Energy (with Placement) course focuses on real-world energy challenges and gives us the chance to gain hands-on experience through the placement year. The modules are very interesting and well organised. I especially appreciate professors like Dr. Bahman Horri, who is supportive, encouraging, and always helps students think creatively about sustainable solutions.

What are your career plans?
After finishing my MSc Sustainable Energy course, I want to work in the renewable and clean technology sector, focusing on sustainable system design and innovation.
