We are a holistic multidisciplinary department interested in the management of change that leads to operational excellence across all types of industry. We offer world-leading education and research on areas of business and data-driven analytics and decision-making, logistics and operations, sustainability and transition.

We value the diversity in the areas and backgrounds of our staff. Methodological specialities range from econometrics and statistics, machine learning and AI, simulations, DEA and optimization to qualitative and ethnographic exploration of businesses, organizations and societies.

Dr Abhijit Sengupta is the Head of Department of Department of Business Analytics and Operations at Surrey Business School, and an Associate Professor (Reader) in Business Analytics.
