The majority of our PhD students have a first degree in engineering or mathematics, but several projects are suitable for students with a degree in another discipline.

HTC process water treatment for the design and improvement of a renewable fuel production process

Home/EU The successful candidate will receive a generous Stipend up to £25,000* per annum. This project is part funded by Antaco. Antaco has pioneered an innovative, organic waste management solution that is able to convert organic waste efficiently into a carbon neutral solid biofuel. Inventive and forward-thinking, we pride ourselves on doing things differently, and achieving notable results. Antaco is amongst the highest achieving Cleantech companies in the UK, having been voted top UK and EU Cleantech start-up by Climate-KIC and the European Institute of Technology and Innovation.

Funding information:
It will cover the tuition fee at UK/EU level, and provide a PhD stipend (c. £18,000 per annum), as well as generous budget for training.
