Integrated carbon dioxide capture and utilisation

Funding information:
The project will fund UK/EU fees and a stipend to cover cost of living.

In-silico analysis of tissue specificity of dermal exposure, deposition and absorption kinetics

Funding information:
It will cover the tuition fee at UK/EU level, and provide a PhD stipend (c. £18,000 per annum), as well as generous budget for training.

HTC process water treatment for the design and improvement of a renewable fuel production process

Home/EUThe successful candidate will receive a generous Stipend up to £25,000* per annum.This project is part funded by Antaco. Antaco has pioneered an innovative, organic waste management solution that is able to convert organic waste efficiently into a carbon neutral solid biofuel. Inventive and forward-thinking, we pride ourselves on doing things differently, and achieving notable results. Antaco is amongst the highest achieving Cleantech companies in the UK, having been voted top UK and EU Cleantech start-up by Climate-KIC and the European Institute of Technology and Innovation.

The Doctoral College supports the academic and professional development of postgraduate researchers to ensure our world-leading research continues to grow. There is also an extensive Researcher Development Programme run at university level.


We have a £1.7m chemical engineering facility which includes a fully operational process plant.
