Surrey invited to be Knowledge Partner for World Travel & Tourism Council
The University of Surrey has been invited to become a Knowledge Partner for the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), the first higher education institution to be appointed to the role.
A forum for business leaders in the travel and tourism industry, WTTC has been conducting research to understand the value of travel and tourism to world economies for over 20 years. In its role as a Knowledge Partner, the University will help WTTC extend its research on the economic and social contribution of travel and tourism.
On its website, WTTC explains that its Knowledge Partners “are all leaders in their field of research and are known and respected for providing robust research and thought leadership across the world.” Ranked number one in the UK for hospitality and tourism programmes by both the Guardian University Guide and The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide, the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management is a leading centre for research and teaching in the field of tourism and travel.
