A thrilling journey of discovery!
Blood, Bones and Bodies
Put on your scrubs and face mask, and join us for this hospital themed workshop where students will learn about the different roles found within the NHS. Students will take on the role of microbiologists, dentists and radiologists, by taking part in this interactive workshop that introduces students to the fascinating world of human biology. Students will diagnose patients by observing their symptoms and have a go at taking measurements using our scientific equipment. This workshop is run in partnership with Health Education England working across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
The Splendiferous World of Roald Dahl
In this “jumpsquiffling” literacy workshop, your students will explore two of author Roald Dahl’s most “splendiferous” stories: ‘The BFG’ and ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. Students will be introduced to descriptive language and tap into their imaginations to create some original characters and even design their very own new sweet for Willy Wonka!
Does a Banana Conduct Electricity?
This workshop reintroduces pupils to circuits and their components through a variety of games and experiments. Building upon their knowledge of electricity, pupils are then introduced to the possibilities of electronic engineering through fun and quirky demonstrations before discovering the extent of their own creativity. This workshop compliments Science days and is an inclusive introduction to engineering and programming for the whole class.
