My undergraduate degree at Surrey opened the door to opportunities within the university, including my current role at the Centre for Britain in Europe, thanks to the connections I built within the department.
Graduation year
2025What were the best things about your course?
One of the best aspects of my course was the incredible support and motivation from the entire Politics and International Relations Department. Their encouragement inspired me to strive for excellence throughout my degree, and whenever I needed help, there was always someone willing to offer support. We were also fortunate to benefit from the department’s strong connections, welcoming numerous external speakers who shared first-hand professional insights on a wide range of topics.
What do you do now? How did your degree from Surrey help you achieve this?
I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Global Affairs at King’s College London. Alongside my postgraduate studies, I serve as the Communications and Public Affairs Officer at the Centre for Britain and Europe (CBE), a research and public policy institute based at the University of Surrey. My undergraduate degree at Surrey opened the door to opportunities within the university, including my current role at CBE, thanks to the connections I built within the department. During my time at Surrey, I also worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for the Study of Global Power Competition.
I attribute these opportunities to the dedication I invested in my studies and my active involvement in departmental initiatives.
