I currently work as a Quality Release Scientist at New England Biolabs, which is also where I completed my Professional Training placement year.

The defining highlight of the course was the global diversity within the cohort; collaborating with international peers on strategic HR initiatives gave me a broader commercial mindset and perfectly mirrored the global scope of my career today.

The course provided so much understanding about business because it covered every aspect of it like accounting, marketing, strategy, human resources etc. It will undoubtedly be beneficial when I start my own business.

What stood out most about my course was how approachable the lecturers were. They explained concepts clearly, set well-structured assignments and were always open to questions.

The best thing about the music course at Surrey was how much flexibility there was to make it your own.... That meant everyone could shape the degree around their own strengths, interests and future plans.

The biggest benefit [of staying at Surrey for my masters] has been the similar teaching styles between the undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. I was able to use my notes from my bachelors as a foundation, which made it easier to understand concept.

I went from incredibly specific academic work - studying the star formation process in galaxies - to a fantastic managerial position, and I was also able to create my own company. That leap wouldn't have been possible without the MBA.

My MBA marked a pivotal shift from a creative career in acting and entrepreneurship into innovation and strategy consulting.

I never expected to become passionate about neuroscience but I fell in love with what music can do for the brain.
