2008Folley Ogundele is known for scaling category-defining technology companies, building high-performing teams and opening doors for underrepresented talent. He is Head of Enterprise, EMEA at OpenAI, where he leads teams working with large organisations across the region to adopt AI responsibly and turn emerging technology into practical business value. As an executive leader, Folley combines enterprise go-to-market strategy with hands-on customer engagement, helping organisations move from experimentation to meaningful AI adoption.
Folley studied Business Management at the University of Surrey and earned his MBA at Imperial College London. He credits Surrey with giving him much more than academic knowledge: it gave him relationships, confidence, and a formative placement year that taught him the professional standards underpinning long-term success.
Over his career, Folley has led enterprise go-to-market and revenue teams across AI, Fintech and SaaS. Before OpenAI, he was Chief Revenue Officer at Finmid, Global Head of Commercial at Wise, and Head of Europe at Stripe. During his 6.5 years at Stripe, he helped scale growth across Europe as the business grew from 8 people in London to 8,000 employees globally. Earlier in his career, he held business development roles at American Express and IBM, building a strong foundation in enterprise operations and strategic partnerships.
Folley also serves on the University of Surrey Business School Advisory Board and was a Venture Partner at Earlybird VC, advising AI, fintech and B2B SaaS founders. Alongside his professional work, he is committed to widening access and creating opportunities for underrepresented groups, guided by the belief that success is more meaningful when it creates opportunity for others. He is a proud husband and father of three and, back when he had a little more spare time, represented Great Britain in both American Football and Karate.
