Congratulations to the class of 2018
With the graduation season now behind us, we asked Professor Jane Powell, Vice-Provost, Education and Students, to reflect on the emotional ceremonies which saw more than 2,700 students graduate.

Professor Jane Powell said: “Overwhelming is the word I keep coming back to when describing this year’s graduation week. I never grow tired of seeing so many of our students mark this rite of passage, as they prepare to take their extraordinary talents and boundless potential into the world.
“We are extremely proud of our class of 2018 and we have no doubt that they will shape organisations, industries, communities and even countries across the world. I want to reiterate to all 2,718 members of the class of 2018 that the University of Surrey will always be your intellectual home – you will now and forever be part of the Surrey family and we have every confidence that you will make us proud.”
