Surrey Business School awarded Athena SWAN Bronze Award
Surrey Business School is proud to announce that we have been awarded our first Athena SWAN Bronze Award. The award recognises the work Surrey Business School has undertaken to create an inclusive culture that values all staff.
Advance Higher Education’s Athena SWAN Charter was established in 2005 to encourage and recognise commitment to advancing the careers of women in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM) employment in higher education and research. In 2015 the charter was expanded to include arts, humanities, social sciences, business and law (AHSSBL), and now recognises work undertaken to address gender equality more broadly.
Many thanks to Professor MariaLaura Di Domenico and the Athena SWAN Committee for their hard work and commitment.
"Treating staff equally and providing an equality of opportunity are essential elements of the way we work in FASS, and I look forward to Athena Swan recognising this across the rest of the faculty.”
Professor Graham Miller, Executive Dean.
With thanks also to Dr YingFei Héliot who will be the business school’s Athena SWAN lead moving forward.
