Office of Student Complaints, Appeals and Regulation
The Casework section of the Office of Student Complaints, Appeals and Regulation (OSCAR) deals with the administration of academic appeals, fitness to practise cases, fitness to study matters, complaints, appeals against academic misconduct findings, appeals against a decision to withdraw sponsorship of a student visa, managed exclusion orders, student discipline, residential casework and criminal conviction disclosures. We also oversee the daily management of Report + Support.
The Academic Policy and Governance section of OSCAR manages the development and implementation of the University Quality Framework (Academic and Student regulations, Student procedures, Codes of practice, policies) and works with Faculties and central departments to provide support and guidance on regulations and procedures. The Academic Policy and Governance section also services the University Education Committee and its sub-committee structure, and coordinates the work of various working groups and forums.
