I am passionate about midwifery because of the maternity care I received as a teen mother. The midwives who took care of me inspired me to want to pass it on to others. I now work as a midwife in the acute unit, mainly the delivery suite.

I have secured a permanent contract as a midwife in a local hospital, rotating between the wards and my own community clinic. I can now help new students working with us from the University of Surrey.

One of the most rewarding aspects of postgraduate life at Surrey was connecting with students from a wide range of professional, cultural, and international backgrounds.

I recently began my role as a District Nurse Team Leader, where my focus is on fostering a cohesive, motivated team while enhancing my leadership and management skills.

I’m a frontline paramedic and a Specialist Operations Response Team (SORT) paramedic, keeping a regular portfolio of training to remain an active deployable asset to critical and national terror and chemical incidents.

Completing the Surrey course and passing the RCVS exam gave me a boost in confidence that continues to propel me forward in my career.

I firmly believe this course gave me the additional knowledge and tools to make a real difference in what I do – helping people feel better and improving their health using food as medicine.

I am currently working as a Graduate Project Manager with Hounslow Highways. My degree from Surrey played a crucial role in helping me secure this role, thanks to the university's strong industry links and networking opportunities." 

What I appreciate about Surrey is how supportive and enjoyable the wider environment feels. The staff, services, and the overall atmosphere create space that makes studying fulfilling. The campus is calm, beautiful, and ideal for concentration, yet still has enough energy and life to keep you inspired without feeling overwhelming.
