Could you be a Students’ Union trustee?

Are you looking for a voluntary position that plays a part in improving the student experience? Have you considered becoming a trustee? We are looking for a new external trustee to join our board in July 2017. The board meets at least four times a year and trustees are also expected to attend a number of annual events and be contactable for advice and guidance.

This is an exciting time in the Students’ Union’s development as it maps out its five-year strategy and plans to refurbish the building.  We need an enthusiastic and motivated external trustee who can demonstrate a real passion for supporting students. Experience in a senior management position is desirable and an interest in health and safety, disability access needs or IT would be useful.

This is a great opportunity for someone willing to volunteer their time with a dedicated team of elected officers and staff, which has responsibility for the governance, finances, legal aspects and strategy of the charity.

For more information contact Caroline Royle, Human Resources & Staff Development Manager on c.royle@surrey.ac.uk or ring 01483 689980.  To apply please send a CV and covering letter to Caroline by 13 March 2017. Visit www.ussu.co.uk for further information.
